Let's Grow Up With Our Children Together!

When I was a school girl, I remember missing on some of the fun things in life just because my parents (mom, especially) were (very) protective of me. I couldn’t join the Girl Guides team go hiking, I wasn’t allowed to follow my friends go camping, I wasn’t even allowed to do sleepovers just cause my parents were worried if the family host won’t feed me enough. T_T (I know right!)

I guess I should be thankful for having such caring parents who (I know) did all that just out of my best interest, but as I grew older, I felt left out. When my college friends started talking about the adventures they went through as a child, all I could do was listen. And that really didn’t do much of a help because hey, growing up, dah tentu lah you nak share dengan your friends jugak that you were ALL that kan. :P

That is why, when I had Aydein, I made a promise never to repeat the same thing to my only son. I want to expose him to nature, I want him to explore the world. For that, I made sure that he experiences the many fun things in life and that includes…

Going on funfair rides;

Swimming in the salty sea water;

Making ‘masterpieces’ through painting;

Having a good time on a boat ride;

Even going barefoot on the grass sometimes!

I was not afraid of letting my son to get dirty or make a mess of anything because I believe everything he does is part of his learning experience. :) TAPI dah tentu lah ada time-time nya kan. Kalau dah make a mess masa mama tengah crazy tired, dah tentu lah nak kena babab je kan :P So activities that involve getting messy and dirty are limited to weekends only ye! :P

Speaking of which, my husband and I were thinking of a place to bring Aydein for the weekend when we heard about this program that got us both excited! Remember I used to blog about my day out with Friso last time? You know, the one yang I *ahem* keluar paper tu? :P

Well guess what?! Friso is back again and they're throwing another event called Friso Growing Up Together (GUT) soon! :D :D

So what is Friso Growing Up Together (GUT) is all about? Simple. It's a concept that Friso brings to light the journey of motherhood and the joy of growing up together with your children by encouraging them to explore because experience is children’s best teacher. The concept believes that all parents should be more involved with their kids’ growth in a holistic way – not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well and that includes giving them the right nutrition!

On that day, parents and children can team up to explore new and exciting things together as there will be activities that require participation from both! Some of the exciting activities are ;

1.    Interactive Tunnel – Parents are supposed to team up with their little ones to play the interactive games projected to the walls and floor of the tunnel.

2.    Craft Stations - Parents and children are able to get their hands dirty at the craft stations where they can customize their very own T-shirts, badges and hanging mobiles or create their own toys whilst having fun together.

3.    Free Gifts – Bring the tin foil or barcode from one of Friso Gold 3 or Friso Gold 4 pack to redeem a little gift for your little one.

SEEEEEEEEEEE? I have a feeling that it's going to be a fun, FUN day! :D :D

I am sure there will be activities that will require your children to get dirty too, but don't worry! As long as your kids have the right nutrition, there is no need to worry about your kids exploring and getting dirty because your kids will have all the essential defense system to help them fight off any naughty bugs! ;)

Now how do we get the right nutrition for our children you ask? :D Introducing Friso® Gold to the rescueeee! It helps increase the good bacteria count so that your child’s defense system receives its much needed boost.

It is specially formulated with P2 Dual System, a combination of 2 Prebiotics and 2 Probiotics which protect the children from the inside so they are free to discover the world. A study has revealed that children who received Synbiotics – a combination of Prebiotics and Probiotics – showed lower frequency of diarrhoea and allergy. Prebiotics help increase intestinal bifidobacteria and maintain good intestinal environment. Healthy live bacteria may help in reducing diarrhoea cases. It also contains DHA, AA3 and SA, which speed up information relay between brain cells, which aid a growing child’s overall development.

So there's no excuse for us parents not to let our children to explore and get dirty after this and there’s definitely no excuse for all of you not to join Friso Growing Up Together Day! :D

Ooh did I tell you that Friso GUT Days Event will be launched with a BIG BANG on an innovative platform, which is the "Talking Newspaper", done in collaboration with New Straits Times too? :D After watching this video, I feel like getting a copy NOW myself!

The good news doesn't end here! We know most events are usually held in Klang Valley area only, however for Friso Growing Up Together event, it will be held at 4 different places at the following date!
